Non-Slip at Malahat Nation

• need to take inventory of all steps
• consider getting contractor doing it or staple guns and roofing

Site Inspection

• identify deficiencies and get some stuff done before the inspection
• will be a FULL SITE visit of all of Nation (not any leasers) - daycare, band office, KKC, Health, Gym, Environment/Member Services, boat barn, community garden

• need to figure out the budget for this
• list of items that need to be attended to:
  • check all fire extinguishers and inspection dates
  • lighting - turn on lights when you arrive work
  • tripping hazards - wires across office floors
  • unlabeled chemicals - dispose any bottles that janitors use that aren't labelled
  • need 2 handrails at band office/admin 
  • non-slip on all steps
  • safety exits - need to be set up
  • items bolted down in case of earthquake
  • first aid space 
  • parking sign at Environment Office
    
  • heat lamps at the gym - blocking exit
• there was inspection done in February - but has not been actioned yet

Action

• ask Dan to remove Daniel and Kathy from the H+S list - Meghan
• get quote from external OHS trainer - Jeni Gunn
• follow up with Donny about non-slip for Environment office steps - Desiree
• Meghan to print May, June, July, August OHS notes and send to Jeni - Meghan
• schedule site inspection check in September 9 - Meghan
• send out Workplace Safety Questionnaire tomorrow and include wires, clear exits, tidy shelves - Jeni
  
• ask Shannon if member of O&M can come to meetings (Ty?) - Desiree
• Desiree to ask Shannon how to arrange O&M schedules to work on Site Inspection checklist - Desiree
• print floor plan maps/icons map for each building for site inspection - Jeni (samples eg.110 Thunder Rd - Downstairs (1).png110 Thunder Rd - Downstairs .png)
• signage tour to be happening soon with Charles Thorne and batch order of signs - Jeni
