Cassie Joining Committee
- Cassie to do minutes for the minutes in the future
- Cassie to be trained on how to do minutes
Bullying and Harassments Concerns from Employees
- Rachel prepared memo to go out to community in the newsletter
- bullying and harassment has been a safety concern for employees
- Chief and Council has a responsibility for safety - under the HR policy
- there has been some backlash from community regarding the memo sent
- Rachel created a poster and sent to IT/Communications - to go with memo - zero tolerance policy
- need positive signage for '10 good culture and beliefs' - worked on by IT/Communications team - poster will be created in Hul'qumi'num and SENCOTEN and English
- some money to spend by March 31 - so that we create signage for each building
- issue letters to community members that need to stop their behaviour
- bullying from community must be on record via incident report
Injury/Workplace Leave
- one staff member is off work after head injury
- one staff on medical leave
- one staff is on gradual return to work soon
OHS
- notice to all staff regarding 'Stay at home' if you have symptoms of flu
Trauma Informed supervisor Training
- participants in member services, lands, and Environment took training in Feb 26

- Worksafe BC has adapted the 13 standards: https://www.worksafebc.com/en/about-us/what-we-do/worksafebc-planned-inspectional-initiatives/psychological-safety
- generally consider 'Trauma Response' section in HR policy
- Malahat should add more cultural components to HR policies
- try to have Indigenous providers for these type of training - Tasha Brooks or Sarah Morales https://commons.royalroads.ca/dbaprogrampage/tasha-brooks/
Wildfire/Chainsaw training
- targeted training for Guardians
- good idea to get as many trained as possible
- need to track training on leave forms - accountability
Leave forms
- we do not track where people are
- we don't have a work from home tracker
- tracking work from home agreements in Malahat Docs
Big House Initiations
- can be considered 'off on leave' or 'unavailable'
- email redirect or auto reply to inform that he is not here
- in-kind support for members- check with Lauren (donations brought to Big House) ?
- cultural supports and donations: box of blankets ceremony blankets, Thrifty gift cards (grocery)
- what is permitted under Malahat and FAL?
- can use EMT for personal donations?
