Notes
-Talk about automatic locking doors on all doors
-Talk about everyone signing in when they go into the buildings
-Do we make recommendations for policies to take place and how will it work in all the different buildings or do we standardize?
-Do we have point people to come in 1/2 early and leave 1/2 later to lock up and ensure everything is ok.
-We write up the procedure and give it to Leadership to approve
-Environment Department have a phone call log to document all calls to ensure safety of staff, Rachel documents her calls to see how busy they are - Should we get a SOP?
-Work front vs Community front and how to ensure the safety of everyone during after hour incidents
-Zero tolerance signs (21) 3/building will be in all 3 languages and 10 commandants in Malahat to reduce bullying and harassment. The signs are leaving the elders and going to C&C the end of the week
1 staff also had an injury and may be able to come to work on light duty but will have to work up to it.
-Do we need to resurface or buffer the gym floor because it is very slippery. We need to address this
-We need to address the janitor situation because of hygiene and dust etc. Nikita took on ownership about that. She hired an outside company. Maybe we will need to contract all the janitor services out because there has been no bites to fill the position. There is a contracted janitor starting next week possibly for all buildings.
-Training for the community and staff. Stephanie to take a look at a list of training that could possibly work for the community. Naloxone training as well. Food safe. Resume writing. application writing. Cultural sensitivity training CDCR?? Sexual harassment training, health? OCAP? Indigenous cultural safety. Would like to have in person but online could work. OH&S staff needs to get OH&S training possibly CPIIR money?
