Employee Health and Safety Orientation for new Staff

• Daniel created a new form
• recommendation to all new staff
• welcome to attend Daniel's orientation 
  

Worksite Inspection Report

• would be done for each building quarterly
• the inspections are done by the health and safety elected representatives
• see forms space for sample

Accident/Incident Report Form

• need to decide what is reported
• hospital visits, harassments complaints? 
• how to define an incident?
• how about incidents from other Malahat companies (e.g. Malahat Nelson)

Near Miss Forms

• information worth sharing to make changes and make worksite safer

Fire Extinguisher Training

Visitor Sign In Sheet

• we need to decide how tight we want to be about sign-in of visitors

Safety Signs

• muster point signs are ordered and will be posted

• ordered some new First Aid kits

All Staff Orientations

• good idea to get all staff have a 'general' safety orientation
• need to encourage specific to position safety orientation

Theft on boat

• good to have an incident report for this
• summary of the incident
• RCMP report/Internal Malahat Report
• all items are replaced
• boat has a new lock
• signs that Rene will put up saying 'Area is under Surveillance'
• consider fake camera for the dock

Action Items

• Stephanie to order signs for Environment boats - Steph
• get All Staff to complete a General Safety Orientation Form / Zoom Format Presentation - all building representatives
• get in touch with Daniel for Environment SOP development - Meghan - Set up for September 7, 2023
